The 16th annual Coastal Gardening Festival takes place on Saturday, May 19 from 9:30 am until 2:30 pm at the Thomas A. Baum Senior Center, 300 Mustian Street in Kill Devil Hills.  The theme this year is "Never enough Thyme!" focusing on herbs and their many uses in every day life.  With over 60 vendors offering a variety of price-friendly plants for your garden, garden art, handcrafted goods and refreshments, there is something for everyone.  Many children's activities will be provided, including hands-on crafts and games. Educational Displays and demonstrations on growing herbs, using them in cooking and in everyday life will be available.  Proceeds from the event benefit the outreach programs of the Dare County Extension Master Gardener Volunteers in association with Dare County Center of the North Carolina Cooperative Extension.  For more information, call the Dare County Extension office at (252) 473-4290.
