Beachside Bistro — located at the Sea Ranch Resort in Kill Devil Hills — is one of the few true oceanfront eateries on the Outer Banks: It offers dune-side dining, and the views are incredible.
If you prefer to dine inside, restaurant’s beach-themed, air-conditioned dining room also provides ocean and sand views for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Breakfast includes all the standards, as well as house-made biscuits covered with sausage gravy and two eggs, and the OBX grit bowl, featuring two eggs cooked to order with crumbled bacon and shredded cheddar cheese on top of creamy grits. (Daily, 7-11 a.m.)
Lunch is casual, and the menu offers something for everyone. (Daily, 11:30 a.m.-4 p.m.)
Dinner options range from a chipotle black bean burger to Alaskan snow crab legs. (Monday-Saturday, 4-9 p.m.)
