Author Joseph L.S. Terrell to have book signing

Local author Joseph L.S. Terrell will sign copies of his latest book, “The Last Blue Moon in May,” from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, August 11, at Duck’s Cottage, 1240 Duck Road, Duck.

The novel follows Outer Banks crime writer Harrison Weaver, who is trying to solve a cold case. After 22 years, the unsolved disappearance of nine-year-old Luanne Wright is a thorn in the side of local law enforcement.

This case holds particular interest for Deputy Chief Odell Wright, who is obsessed with trying to find out the fate of his younger sister.

While investigating the death of a woman found dead of an apparent bear attack, Harrison, Wright and Ballsford Twiddy, an agent with the State Bureau of Investigations, uncover a clue into young Luanne Wright’s disappearance.

Terrell is the author of 11 published books. His books are available at local bookstores and from the publisher, Bella Rosa Books.
