Nationally-recognized mural artist Sam Ogden to lead community mural project

Sam Ogden, a nationally-recognized mural artist, at work in Charleston, South Carolina. On April 21-22, Ogden will be on the Outer Banks to lead a community-mural project honoring veterans.

Help celebrate the men and women who served in the U.S. Armed Forces by taking part in a special event hosted this weekend by Dare County Arts Council.

Nationally-recognized mural artist Sam Ogden will lead a community mural project Saturday and Sunday (April 21-22) at the American Legion building, 302 W. Lake Drive, in Kill Devil Hills.

The hands-on event is free and open to the public.

Both days also will include an open painting class with Ogden for veterans, active duty military and their family members. The workshop is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. No experience is necessary.
