The OBX Wedding Fest is set for Sunday, Aug. 27, in Manteo, and brides from all over will descend on the Outer Banks to check out all the area has to offer to make their special day as special as possible.

One of the most sought-after venues on the beach is Jennette’s Pier in Nags Head, a three-time winner of the Couples’ Choice Awards. The annual awards are presented by WeddingWire, a leading global online marketplace for the wedding and event industry.

“We greatly appreciate winning an award for something that is so worthwhile,” says Michele Bunce, coordinator for facility rentals, adding the pier was the site of more than 60 wedding receptions in 2016. “This honor brings with it a great responsibility to continue to strive to give the best customer service every day. Excited by this challenge, we look forward to an even better wedding season each year.”

About the awards

Couples’ Choice Awards are presented to the top 5 percent of wedding professionals on WeddingWire, based on reviews in more than 20 categories that range from wedding venues to wedding photographers.

Winners are determined solely on the more than 2.5 million U.S. reviews from newlyweds who rate vendors based on their own experience in quality, service, responsiveness and professionalism.

As a Couples’ Choice Award winner, Jennette’s Pier is highlighted on WeddingWire, which is comprised of more than 200,000 wedding professionals in the United States.

Operating within a $200 billion industry, WeddingWire, Inc. hosts 10 million monthly unique users across its mobile and web platforms.

Consumers around the world are able to read over 3 million vendor reviews and search, compare and book from a database of over 400,000 businesses globally.

It provides these businesses the technology they need to serve their clients through advertising, marketing and business management tools, such as websites, payment processing, invoicing and contracts.
