A 15-year-old male is in custody after a man was stabbed several times at a party during a fight over who owned a vaping device.
Police responded to Burns Drive at about 10:30 p.m. Friday and found a 19-year-old with multiple, life-threatening stab wounds, according to a release from the Kill Devil Hills Police. He was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Alcohol was involved, the release said.
Police are seeking juvenile petitions against the 15-year-old, which is required for suspects under 16-years-old, the release said. The teen is in custody at Pitt Regional Juvenile Center in Greenville.
