Wright Brothers Memorial under the heavenly skies

As the location where Wilbur and Orville Wright first successfully flew an airplane in 1903, this site celebrates the Wright brothers’ historic achievement and the many that have followed in the subsequent 113 years. Visitors can see the Wrights’ original take off and landing lines; the reconstructed 1903 camp buildings; the commemorative monument to the Wright brothers (which sports a spectacular sound-to-sea view); and the visitors center. Programs, included with admission, are held daily.
